Cold White Drop

It was 7 at night when i got of the bus and got into Wallmart one of the most visited store in my area. At the time i saw many things white falling down from the sky it was beautiful like an end of a concert with a lot of thing falling down on the stage. Yea that was the first time for me experience walking under the snow rain.
How lucky i was, felt like i have completed all the seasons in the USA as what i have dreamed since long long time ago when i was still in blessed little village near the thick forest and the wild animals.

What came to my mind at the time was my family. The face of "sacrificing" father and the wise mom. a flash in my mind said that because of their support and prayer this poor little boy could experience walking under the white rain while listening to country music. I was dreaming, my eyes looked far away to the cold white drop, while my feet keep stepping forward. "a step more forward", said me in my heart. a step forward of dream journey, dream imagination. A step of going traveling the circle of the world. Looking for the meaning of every step which never stop even many boundaries tried to give limitation, the more the boundary appears, the more i said in my heart "I will keep going no matter what happens, keep walking to the other sides of the world. It is not the end, it's just the beginning of reaching the gate of the world".

Once at an unknown part of this earth I sat,

Looking at the rainy dance....

"It was suck!!!" i said...

"it was damn!!!" still came from my mouth....

still my eyes looking at the drops jumping and waving...

"what the f***!!!" said my mouth while staring at the rain...
but.. no...no... it was not about the rain...
i am a "rainholic", I've never had even a reason to hate the rain...

what i hate was the words i had to say to let "the rose" leave me...

I hated to say that... I hated to let her and me be alone....

I hated to flow with the destiny...

I want to make it... I want to make my own destiny...

I was trying hard to do it...

but what i got was what i hate,

though i knew what i hated was not always bad for me and us...

and what i desire to have is not always give no evil ....

here.. the future came to told me... said it "everything's on me, you will never know but if i tell you, you know why? because i just have one way... it is Mystery...".

Inspiring and touching story

Read only if you have time...

One young academically excellent person went to apply for a managerial
position in a big company.

He passed the first interview, the director did the last interview,
made the last decision.

The director discovered from the CV that the youth's academic
achievements were excellent all the way, from the secondary school
until the postgraduate research, never had a year when he did not score.

The director asked, "Did you obtain any scholarships in school?" the
youth answered "none".

The director asked, " Was it your father who paid for your school
fees?"
The youth answered, "My father passed away when I was one year old, it
was my mother who paid for my school fees.

The director asked, " Where did your mother work?" The youth answered,
"My mother worked as clothes cleaner. The director requested the youth to
show his hands. The youth showed a pair of hands that were smooth
and perfect.

The director asked, " Have you ever helped your mother wash the
clothes before?" The youth answered, "Never, my mother always wanted me to
study and read more books.
Furthermore, my mother can wash clothes faster than me.

The director said, "I have a request. When you go back today, go and
clean your mother's hands, and then see me tomorrow morning.*

The youth felt that his chance of landing the job was high. When he
went back, he happily requested his mother to let him clean her hands. His
mother felt strange, happy but with mixed feelings, she showed her hands
to the kid.

The youth cleaned his mother's hands slowly. His tear fell as he did
that. It was the first time he noticed that his mother's hands were so
wrinkled, and there were so many bruises in her hands.
Some bruises were so painful that his mother shivered when they were cleaned
with water.

This was the first time the youth realized that it was this pair of hands
that washed the clothes everyday to enable him to pay the school fee.
The bruises in the mother's hands were the price that the mother had to pay
for his graduation, academic excellence and his future.

After finishing the cleaning of his mother hands, the youth quietly washed
all the remaining clothes for his mother.

That night, mother and son talked for a very long time.

Next morning, the youth went to the director's office.

The Director noticed the tears in the youth's eyes, asked: " Can you
tell me what have you done and learned yesterday in your house?"

The youth answered, " I cleaned my mother's hand, and also finished
cleaning all the remaining clothes'

The Director asked, " please tell me your feelings."

The youth said, Number 1, I know now what is appreciation.
Without my mother, there would not the successful me today.
Number 2, by working together and helping my mother, only I now realize how
difficult and tough it is to get something done.
Number 3, I have come to appreciate the importance and value of family
relationship.

The director said, " This is what I am looking for to be my manager.
I want to recruit a person who can appreciate the help of others, a person
who knows the sufferings of others to get things done, and a person who
would not put money as his only goal in life. You are hired.

Later on, this young person worked very hard, and received the respect
of his subordinates.
Every employee worked diligently and as a team.
The company's performance improved tremendously.

A child, who has been protected and habitually given whatever he
wanted, would develop "entitlement mentality" and would always put himself
first.
He would be ignorant of his parent's efforts.

When he starts work, he assumes that every person must listen to him, and
when he becomes a manager, he would never know the sufferings of his
employees and would always blame others.
For this kind of people, who may be good academically, may be successful
for a while, but eventually would not feel sense of achievement.
He will grumble and be full of hatred and fight for more.
If we are this kind of protective parents, are we really showing love or are
we destroying the kid instead?*

You can let your kid live in a big house, eat a good meal, learn
piano, watch a big screen TV.
But when you are cutting grass, please let them experience it.
After a meal, let them wash their plates and bowls together with their
brothers and sisters.
It is not because you do not have money to hire a maid, but it is because
you want to love them in a right way.
You want them to understand, no matter how rich their parents
are, one day their hair will grow gray, same as the mother of that young
person.
The most important thing is your kid learns how to appreciate the effort and
experience the difficulty and learns the ability to work with others to get
things done.

You would have forwarded many mails to many and many of them would
have back mailed you too...but try and forward this story to as many as
possible...this may change somebody's fate...

Complicatednesses.....(hahahaha...)

Leadership is Action

“Leadership is actions”, that is going to be the title of my writing at this time.
Getting the chance to study in the USA is really a valuable part of my life. Therefore I will use this chance as maximum as possible to reach my goal. There are a lot of goals that I want to reach while in the USA, one of them is to learn about its Government system. Based on my experience, the best way to do it is to get involve in it. Even though it is not at the real government system at least we can get involve in the small scale one as what I am doing now. I am joining the Parkland College Student Government. The way it runs and hires its members are almost the same as what the real government system in the USA does. Well, here I will tell you my experience when the first time I applied to join Parkland Student Government,.
The first time I knew the information about Students government was from the brochures which were put at one of the table next to my class room. From the brochure I knew that student government was going to run the election to choose eight student senators. After reading the requirements, I found that I was qualified. Actually for me one of the requirements was really interesting and challenging. Where we need to make a petition and collect at least 60 signatures of the students in order to be able to run for the election. At the first I thought it would be really hard to do, but in fact it was really exciting. I just need one day to do it. The process of collecting the signature was the most interesting process that I have passed through. While conducting this process I met so many people, explaining that I was going to run for the student senator election and then asking for their signature. Some of them could give me their signatures easily, but some others asked me a lot of questions or even refused to give their signature. Most questions they gave me were about my background and also my visions and missions if I were elected to be a senator.
After working really hard, finally I could collect all the signatures I needed. After that I directly met Tom. Tom is the Coordinator for this election. I registered myself, and then got my number in the election. A week after that, the election took place. It took three days. I saw a lot of students voted. Actually I was not really optimistic to be able to be elected, it was because I did not put any posters of mine, while almost all of the other candidates had put their posters on the information wall around the campus. What I did at the time just talked face to face to everyone I met. But surprisingly at the last day of election, after the vote was counted, I became one of them who were selected. So since the time, until now I have been one of Parkland College Student Senators. We have a lot of interesting activities. They are valuable for my leadership skill and also my civil engagement experience here. And the other interesting thing is that at the end of this program I will be given the certificate of leadership from Pakrland College. So, will you be the next Student Senator?

shaking Illinois Governor....

Hi.... the next wonderful experience is that i can meet and shaking hand with Illinois governor, Patt Quinn. here is the story...

it was at 4.30 at the afternoon. I was still in a very serious discussion with my friend in the Champaign Public library about Religion. I did not really like the discussion actually, but because He kept forcing me to talk about it finaaly i just said "Okey..."

well after aroun 2 hours discussion, that was at a quarter to 5 when my cellphone was ringing. Christine, my other friend called me. She invited me to go to the Pat Quinn's rally. Yea he was at the time having a rally to promote his candidacy as the Illinois Governor for the second time. without any further thinking I dirctly agreed the invitation. We planned to meet 15 minutes after at the Illini Union. Illini Union is the Center Building of University of Illinoi in Champaign.

After meeting christine we left together to the place where the rally was taking place. We went there by a friend's car. Christine knew the person through email.

After around 15 minutes we were at the car finally we got to the place. It is a wide place seemed like a very huge garage. When we got there, there were a lot of people. most of them holding a poster which said "Pat Quinn for Governor, The Job's Governor".

In his oration Quinn talked a lot about job. he promised to increase the job availability so that all people can get job.

While he is speaking at the podium, the people shouting and shouting saying their yell. Did not want to be assumed as the streng people I and my friend also followed other to shout. At the end of His oration, pat Quinn said that he needed the cooperation of all elements of the people work hand to hand to help him being the governor for the second time.

After finishing his speech, I and my friend went forward to get closed to Him just to shake his hand and taking picture...then we got it....

In general, the way they campaign is the same with ours. But the difference was that here every candidate are free to speak about the weaknesses of their rival with the clear language.

A Picture taken = Your Soul Fly away

Hey... it is the other thing i do in the USA. I went to AMISH People. Amish people is the christian society which is still maintain their tradition since hundreds years ago. They do not want to use moderen technology like electricity, car, and the other modern stuffs. To go anywhere they use "buggy", bugy is a vehicle like cart which is carried by a horse.

In order to support their life, they made some kinds of handycraft like chair. The woman is doing quilting. they sell their product to people. Their products are really famous all over the USA. Beside, they also have cows or chicken.

They made their own dress. The dress is like the old style. The women also wear head cover.

Most of the youth here marry with the same community member. They do not want to marry the other even though they are given the freedom to choose. As the free humankind, the youth in this community are given the chance to live out of the community when they are 20 years old to try the out side life. after the one year training, they are given the freedom to choose whether to comeback again or to continue living out of the community.
